Christmas with the Iacolucci's

We finally had our family Christmas celebration on Monday night. Marty and Dad had made butternut squash raviolis and Marty made a white cream basil sauce...mmmm! I made stuffed shells and a baked spaghetti with meatballs! Dina made a green salad and Diane made the yummy cheesey bread and olive oil bread. All in all we were set with the food and decided to skip on the dessert! There are 17 of us sitting at our kitchen table and I made little goodie bags filled with candy or nuts at each place setting, very decorative and festive! We gave dad a digital Photo frame so that he can view the slide show of all of the children, grandchildren etc. He loved the gift, Dina even downloaded some of the same pictures she used to make the video that she gave us at Mom's service - it is great! And what a wonderful thing for him to watch every day, the cute pictures of his great grand children! And now we have one more on the way...hopefully this keeps him going and in a positive frame of mind to get up each day! The holiday celebrations were extended because of the snow, but we surely did love having that white stuff around!
